CEREMONIAL MATTERS & PRESENTATIONS
1. Email Phishing Campaign Presentation from Chief Technology Officer Bill
Mitchell
Chief Technology Officer Bill Mitchell presented on the City’s cybersecurity
initiatives and Commissioners responsibility in keeping the City safe from
cyberattacks.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
2. June 24, 2020 – Vice-Chair Jayant motions to approve minutes with corrections.
Commissioner Yeung seconds motion. Motion passes unanimously.
WRITTEN/ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
OLD BUSINESS
3. Teen Commission Outreach
The City’s Communication Team visited the Teen Commission to help answer
the Commission’s questions over the City’s outreach and communication
avenues. Staff shared the results of a Teen Commission Outreach survey. The
Teen Commission expressed a desire to have a stronger youth and teen presence
on the City’s Instagram account and improvements to the Teen Commission
website. City staff will be continuing to work with the Teen Commission to
improve youth and teen engagement through the website and Instagram
account.
4. Student Organization Support
The Teen Commission continued discussions in their involvement with local
student organizations. The conversation will continue into the next meeting.
5. Pizza and Politics: 2020
Staff introduced the idea of forming a subcommittee for the Pizza and Politics
2020 event. After a discussion, the following commissioners were selected as the
Pizza and Politics subcommittee members: Rushil Jayant, Alden Gu, Anagaa
Nathan, Jay Yeung. Subcommittee members will create a framework for the
event while ensuring the remaining commissioners are involved in the event.
6. <hack> Cupertino 2020
Event subcommittees provided the group with final updates on their progress.
Commissioners agreed to do a final social media push for the event.

7. Commissioner Updates
• Commission Gu gave updates on the July 15th Mayor’s Meeting.
8. Staff Updates
• None.
FUTURE AGENDA SETTING
The following items were requested to be added to the next meeting: <hack> Cupertino,
2020-2021 School Year Reopening Discussion, Pizza and Politics, and Student Support.
ADJOURNMENT
At 9:27 pm the Teen Commission adjourned to a REGULAR MEETING which will be
held on July 22, 2020, at 6:00 pm as a Zoom Webinar.
