CC 01-09-06 CUPEIQ1NO APPROVED MINUTES CUPERTINO CITY COUNCIL Regular Adjourned Meeting Monday, January 9,2006 ROLL CALL At 6:05 p.m. Mayor Richard Lowenthal called the meeting to order in City Hall Conference Room A, 10300 Torre Avenue, Cupertino, California. Present: Mayor Richard Lowenthal, Vice-Mayor Kris Wang, and Council members Patrick Kwok, Orrin Mahoney, and Dolly Sandoval. Absent: none. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS - None BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS INTERVIEWS 1. Interview applicants for Commission vacancies: The City Council interviewed the following candidates for the Public Safety Commission: Om Talajia, Hugh Riddell, Donald Grettum, Nina Daruwalla, Leigh Hodgdon, Kevin Wang, Charles Ahern, and Fari Aberg. Council appointed Hugh Riddell and Nina Daruwalla to full terms ending January 2010. The City Council interviewed the following candidates for the Technology. Information. and Communication Commission: Kevin Wang, Charles Ahern, Shishir MukheJjee, William Allen, and Michael Harkin. Council appointed William Allen to a partial term ending January 2008, and Charles Ahern to a full term ending January 2010. The City Council interviewed the following candidates for the Fine Arts Commission: Michael Harkin, Ann Woo, and Sakunthala Nallamotu. Council appointed Michael Harkin to a partial term ending January 2009, and Ann Woo to a full term ending January 2010. The City Council interviewed the following candidates for the Parks and Recreation Commission: Fari Aberg, Sakunthala Nallamotu, Aisha Othman, and David Greenstein. Council appointed David Greenstein to a full term ending January 2010. The City Council concurred to reappoint incumbent Frances Seward to the Housing Commission for a full term ending January 2010. She was the only applicant for the vacancy, but was unable to attend the interview. The meeting will be held in the Council Chamber, 10350 Torre Avenue, Cupertino.
