Dear City Council Members and Staff, I’ve reviewed all the material for the Housing Element Update/Stakeholders Group Selection and have suggestions and concerns/questions below. SUGGESTIONS: 1. Send emails/notice blasts out EVERY TIME a. HE appears in a city meeting i.e. CC, PC, Housing, Workshop, Study Session, etc. b. When there’s a new version of the simulator tool announce it! Blast it out to solicit/encourage people to try again. CONCERNS/QUESTIONS: These are regarding “Attachment A – 6th Cycle Housing Element Update – Public Engagement Activities to date”: 1. Page 1 of 3, Working with WVCS a. Meeting bi-weekly since Sep. 2021 1: Are meeting minutes/action items being documented? 2: Can these documents be posted for the public? b. Educational fliers 3: Can these be posted for the public? c. “…other community-based organizations” 4: Which ones? 2. Page 2 of 3, Posts a. eNotification Reach = 15,010. Several of us have not gotten any emails! 5: In the last PC meeting, Mr. Flowers stated that actually emails were NOT going out so how can you ve 15,010 reaches? 6: When will this be fixed? There were Advisory Committees set up for each of these Urban Villages. These Advisory Committees were hand picked and often did not contain members of the public. These groups took no input from the public. There was not much transparency in these meetings. I am concerned that a Stake Holder Group for Cupertino's Housing Element would be conducted the same way as the San Jose Urban Village Advisory Committees. And that was not a transparent process. Thank you. Sincerely, Jennifer Griffin
