CC Resolution No. 06-064 RESOLUTION NO. 06-064 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO ADOPTING THE 2006-07 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN AND THE USE OF 4TH PROGRAM YEAR (2006-07) COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS AND HUMAN SERVICE GRANTS WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 provides that funds be made available for the Community Development Block Grant program and Human Services Grants; and WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino wishes to apply for funds as an Entitlement Jurisdiction under said Act; and WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino understands that it shall receive $480,635 in CDBG funds; and WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino will be reallocating $15,000 iTom fiscal year 2005-06; and WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino is required to submit an Annual Plan prior to being allowed to expend said funds; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Cupertino hereby certifies that the projects being proposed for funding meet the certifications outlined in Section 570.303 of the Community Development Block Grant Administrative Regulations; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Cupertino hereby approves the 2006-07 Annual Plan and the use of 4th program year (2006-07) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and Human Service Grants; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to submit the project proposals and the 2006-07 Annual Plan approved by the City Council to HUD; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Cupertino hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the agreements for allocation of fourth program year (2006-07) Community Development Block Grant funds.
