Resolution 8187 RESOWl'ION NO. 8187 A RESOWl'ION OF '!HE CI'lY CXXJNCIL OF '!HE CI'lY OF aJPERl'INO ESTABLISHJN:; A YaJIH SroRI'S ~ FUND WHERFAS, it is the m.rt:ual desire of the City of CUpertino and the CUpertino Union School District to preserve for future generations the availability of open space representing awroxiJnately forty acres of existing school fields; and WHERFAS, there is a need to iIrprtwe the overall quality and usability of the exist:!n;¡- sports facilities by maJd.n] certain iIrprovements; and WHEREAS, it is the intent to enhance the maintenance levels of these facilities and to praIPte continued cooperation between the CUpertino Union School District and the City of CUpertino. NCM, 'IHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of CUpertino does ordain as follows: 1. It is the intent of the City Council of the city of CUpertino to establish a Ycmh Sports Reserve fund in the event that Ordinance No. related to the ~ition of a tax is awroved by the voters in November of 1990. 2. 'Ihe funis for the Ycmh Sports Reserve FuIñ shall be derived solely from future Park Dedication Fees \</hen those fees are reimb.1rsed to the General FuIñ. 3. Fran said fund, anø.mts will, frcm tlJne to time, be appropriated by the City O::AJncil for the p.¡rpose of renovation and expansion of the Youth Sport facilities on various CUpertino Union school District school sites as further delineated by a master plan prepared jointly by the City of CUpertino and the School District and in conformance with the City's Five Year Capital Inprovements plan. 'Ihe requirements of said fund are estiJnated to be awroxiJnately $5 million. 4. Said Ycmh - Sports Reserve FuIñ shall, upon approval of Ordinance No. by the voters, be established with an initial SUl\\ of $1.1 million from the General FuIñ representirg Park Dedication funis previously reimb.1rsed to the General FuIñ. -1-
