I, Neelima Palacherla, Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission of Santa Clara County (LAFCO), do hereby certify that an application was filed with me on February 3, 2022 by the City of Cupertino for an amendment of the Urban Service Area (USA) and Sphere of Influence (SOI) boundaries between Cupertino and San Jose in order to detach approximately 7.91 acres, comprising of two parcels (APNs 375-21-001 and 375-22-001) from the City of San Jose and to annex the area to the City of Cupertino; and to amend the SOI of and annex the area to the Santa Clara County Central Fire Protection District.
The application contains all the information required by this Commission and State law and is being certified for filing on the date below. This Certificate of Filing is being issued pursuant to Section 56658 of the California Government Code. The application is designated as Lawrence Expressway-Mitty Way Urban Service
Area / Sphere of Influence Amendment and Reorganization 2022.
The application will be considered at the April 6, 2022 LAFCO Meeting. A public hearing notice will be provided pursuant to state law, at least 21 days prior to the scheduled hearing.
