Cupertino California CONSTRUCTION STAKING SCOPE OF WORK The City/Contrar:tor shall notify MPS three (3) working days in' advanr:e of the need for construr:tion stakes for any part of the work. The City/ Contractor shall r:/early indicate the areas to be staked. The City/Contractor shall also provide the required distance for stake offsets to each request. Requests for construction staking received from the City/Contractor after 11 :45 A.M. shall be considered as received the following business day. Unclear or incomplete requests will be considered unacceptable and sent back to the Contractor with a statement describing the reason(s) for their return. When satisfactorily revised. the request will be logged in and staked within three working days, as described above. MPS will provide construction stakes as follows: A. One set of stakes,. .set one time only., .at approximately 25-foot stations with 3- or 5wfoot offsets over the entire length of work that requires staking. This set of stakes is intended to provide sufficient control to allow saw cutting. pavement removal, deep lift AC, utility construction and curb. gutter and sidewalk and other items installation. MPS will furnish one copy of cut sheets to Contractor and three copies to the City. Contractor will be responsible for protection of monuments, control points and construction stakes. Any replacement of monuments; control points or stakes called for the City Inspector, Contractor or his subcontractors shall be paid for by the Cny/ Contractor.
