Minutes
I. Introductions, Purpose of Meeting
The Study Committee, staff and consultants introduced themselves. Present
were:
Darryl Stow, Fari Aberg, Wendell Stephens, Thorissa Yap, Lynn Ching, Frank
Geefay, Anne Ng, Roger Costa, Debbie Stauffer, Marty Miller, Shawna Holmes,
Mike Foulkes, Bill Brown, Rick Hausman, Jennifer Griffin, Christine Giusiana,
Christine Mallery. Staff: Steve Piasecki, Ciddy Wordell, Carol Atwood, David
Stillman. Consultants: Michael Freedman, Bruce Liedstrand.
The purpose of the meeting was to give the Study Committee an opportunity to
discuss the project outside of the context of the Community Workshops.
II. Discussion
The Study Committee discussed their views of what should happen in this area
in the future. The discussion included the topics of the importance and needs of
the two major companies, Hewlett Packard and Apple; housing, commercial
development, roadways, ancillary uses, and infrastructure.
III. Next Steps
a. Community Workshop - April 2, 7 PM
b. Study Committee Recommendations - May 22 - final date needs to
be determined
c. Report to Planning Commission June 26, City Council July 3
(tentative)
IV. Adjournment
The Study Committee adjourned at 9:45 PM.
