Purpose of Meeting:
Ciddy Wordell described the purpose of the meeting, which was for the Study
Committee to make recommendations on the Principles/Issues to Address and
Envisioning the Future District, two sections of the draft report. Other parts of
the report are considered background information.
Overview of Principles/Issues to Address and Envisioning
the Future District:
Michael Freedman provided an overview of the Principles/Issues to Address
and Envisioning the Future District.
Discussion by Study Committee:
The Study Committee discussed the relevant sections of the draft report. They
agreed to recommend the Principles/Issues to Address, as amended by the
discussion, and to delete the Envisioning the Future District section.
Next Steps:
The Principles/Issues to Address will be rewritten by Michael Freedman, based
on Study Committee discussion, and emailed to the Study Committee. Staff will
finalize the recommendations based on Study Committee feedback. If the
feedback is substantive, another Study Committee meeting will be convened.
Otherwise, the recommendations will be forwarded to the Planning Commission
and City Council.
