Purpose and Intent:
This criteria has been established for the purpose of maintaining a continuity
of quality and aesthetics throughout the Shopping Center for the mutual
benefit of all tenants, and to comply with the regulations of the City ofi
Cupertino.
The intent of the sign criteria is to ensure consistency of letter styles and
colors of tenant signs. The signs specified wiil offer optimum tenant identity
when designed in conformance with the design standards.
General Requirements:
Prior to fabrication or applying for city approvals, the tenant sign contractor
shall submit two(2) sets of scaled, detailed color drawings indicating the
location, size, layout, design, color, illumination, materials and method or
attachment to the landlord for approval.
Any sign contractor performing work for any tenant should submit to owner
certificate or worker's compensation, general liability insurance, current and
valid California Con#ractors License and UL verification.
All signage must have the required City of Cupertino permits prior to
fabrication and installation.All permits and fees for sign and their installation
shall be obtained by the tenant or its representative.
All signs shall be constructed at the Tenant's expense.
Tenant shall remove his sign and return affected area to its original condition
within 30 days following cessation of use.
Wording of signs shall not include the product sold (or advertising for that
product)except as part of the tenants business name, logo or trademark.
Individual Tenant Signage:
Each tenant shall be allowed a minimum or 20 square feet of sign area
regardless of the length of leased frontage, and no tenant shall be atlowed
more than 200 square feel of sign area.
Each tenant shall be allowed one wall sign.
Letter style will be tenant choice with landlord approval. Consistency of colors and
styles from one tenant to another is encouraged. Letters shall be minimum 1/8 thick
acrylic with 3/4"trim cap.
All lettering wil{be fabricated as Individual internally illuminated channel letters in
either"Face-lit"or"Halo-Lit"style. The letters will be mounted on Standard or"Slim-
Line" raceway/wireway.
Logo size shall not exceed 24"height or 15% of the sign length.
Maximum letter height shall be 18"for signs set back fifty feet or less, or 24"for signs
set back more than fifty feet. Business with 5,000 square feet or more shall be
allowed 24" height letters regardless of the setback.
