Exhibit CC 01-19-2016 Study Session Item No. 5 Rotary Club to Renovate StocklmeirLauren Sapudar From: Sent: To: Toni Oasay-Anderson Monday, February 01, 2016 9:53 AM City Clerk Subject: FW: Good morning From: JOHN KOLSKI [mailto:ducksflylO@gmail.com] Sent: Saturday, January 30, 2016 7:45 AM To: City Council Subject: Re: Good morning I have learned in communications yesterday that not only does the rotary want to donate monies, but for doing that they want in return their name on the building, that's amazing, is our city going to staii selling the people's historic buildings? And they are not only going to control it but rent it out to make money? Why would the city let this happen? Another question comes to mind, how can their donation restore the building up to all the necessary codes for a public building? And/or is the city going to add funds to the project, when the city has many more impmiant infrastructure projects to do? If the rotary club wants their name on a building and one to use, control and rent out, then they should buy their own building. The founders of Cupertino are turning over in their graves at this and the thought process of those now leading on once wonderful city. When are the next meetings that this will be discussed at? Again I just read the article regarding the stocklmeir house and am again upset that our city leaders are suggesting doing this again to the residents of Cupertino. In the past the rotary club has taken the water tower from us for their gain and the historical society has taken the hammer house from us too Neither can be used by or enjoyed by the residence of Cupertino. 1 All for the gain and control of the rotary club and a few people. These all are public prope1iy, not to be for only the use of a single organization They were given to or bought with public monies for all the people of Cupertino, not just a select few. If the rotary club wants a building to meet in the they should take their money and buy their own building J olm Kolski From: JOHN KOLSKI <ducksflylO@gmail.com> Date: January 29, 2016 at 8:03:14 AM PST To: citycouncil@cupertino.org Subject: Good morning I just read the article about the stockelmire home From our I-pad ..... 2
