CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA., USA
AND
PERESLAVL-ZALESSKY, YAROSLAVL REGION, USSR
Prompted by the aim of strengthening friendly ties between Cupertino and Pereslavl-
Zalessky; for creating friendship and mutual understanding between the U.S.A. and the
U. S. S. R.; acknowledging that Sister City relations are an important contribution to
the cause of peace; the City Council of Cupertino and the Executive Committee of the
Pereslavl-Zalessky Council of Peoples' Deputies sign the present Agreement establishing
Sister City relations between our two cities on behalf of our citizens.
We have agreed to establish and sustain contacts in the fields of culture, education and
economy, and to foster citizen and specialist exchanges and to regularly inform the
citizenry of these activities. NEW-
The present agreement is timeless and is written in two languages, English and Russian,
and both texts are authentic
