The following items were discussed: ¡:¡ Noise Impacts: Acoustical Engineer reviewed the project. o Expected to have 65-75 db. o Windows rated 40 stc. o Sound barrier being installed on the northerly side of HWY 280. o Traffic Impacts: Report by Fehr & Peers. o 270 daily trips. o 658 fewer than the approved restaurant, 479 fewer than the hotel. o Trees o 22 dying trees to be removed. o Working with the City Arborist to plant 52 new trees. ¡:¡ TOT tax. ACTION: Recommendation for a Mitigated Negative Declaration with the following mitigations: 1. Trees: The project proposes to remove 22 trees. The project proposes to plant 52 new trees as mitigation for the removal. The City Arborist is assessing the values of the removed trees and will determine additional mitigation measures. The project will be required as a condition to adhere to the City Arborist's recommendations. The proposed landscaping plan shall be revised to be consistent with the City's Arborist's recommendations. MOTION: Steve Piasecki SECOND: Dave Knapp ABSTAIN: VOTE: 4 - 0 2. Application No.: Applicant: Location: GPA-2004-01 (EA-2004-17 EIR) City of Cupertino Citywide The following items were discussed: ¡:¡ Planning Resource Associates (PRA) prepared a DRAFT EIR report based on the Task Force Draft. ¡:¡ Potential Significant Land Use Impacts: o Additional density and housing ¡:¡ Potential Significant Traffic Impacts: o Analysis was done. 3.5 less traffic than the Administrative Draft. o Traffic: Heaviest intersections would be De Anza/Homestead and Stelling/ McClellan. ¡:¡ Potential Significant Public Utility Impacts: o Sewage lines may need to be updated. ¡:¡ School impacts. o Study was performed by consultant. o Impact fees. ¡:¡ No significant noise impacts.
