and; Delegation of Authority to Register DSW Volunteers During Hosted CERT Academies.
Dear Deborah Feng,
This is a request to authorize the Santa Clara County Fire Department to register DSW
volunteers on behalf of the City of Cupertino Accredited Disaster Council during the Cupertino
hosted in 2020 & 2021 CERT academies and to request approval for Cupertino DSW
participation in any of the scheduled 2020 & 2021 Santa Clara County Fire Department CERT
Training, CERT Refreshers, and CERT Exercises & Drills, listed on the following pages. This
year we would like to have a two-year authorization. At your earliest convenience, please sign
and return this letter to "Gracie Hernandez" by March 13, 2020.

1, Deborah Feng, as the designated authority for the City of Cupertino Accredited Disaster
Council, approve City of Cupertino CERT DSW volunteers to attend any of the scheduled 2020 &
2021 Santa Clara County Fire Department CERT training classes and authorize Santa Clara
County Fire Department CERT instructors to register DSW volunteers on behalf of the City of
Cupertino during the Cupertino hosted CERT Academies. Santa Clara County Fire Department
personnel and CERT leaders are authorized to act in a supervisory capacity while providing
authorized CERT training.
