This proposal was prepared pursuant to our email exchange on November 5, 2020. PROJECT UNDERSTANDING On December 4, 2014, the Cupertino City Council adopted the Community Vision 2040 General Plan (General Plan) and certified the Cupertino General Plan Amendment, Housing Element Update, and Associated Rezoning EIR. Several addenda to the General Plan EIR have been completed since 2014. The City is amending Chapter 3: Land Use and Community Design Element and Chapter 6: Environmental Resources and Sustainability Element for clarity to the language of the development standards, as well as the Cupertino Municipal Code to include standard conditions of approval for development projects. As a result of these amendments, and pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15164, the City has determined that an Addendum to the EIR is necessary to address the environmental impacts related to the revised language. Scope of Work This section describes the scope of work to be completed by PlaceWorks for the Addendum to the Cupertino General Plan Amendment, Housing Element Update, and Associated Rezoning EIR. We are flexible regarding the proposed scope of work and will work with you to prepare a more detailed scope when we enter into a contract, if necessary. A summary of the work program is presented in Table 1. The PlaceWorks team will complete this scope of work for a fixed fee not to exceed this amount. The estimated cost includes a 20 percent contingency fund to cover any minor changes to the project description, or unforeseen, out-of-scope work that might be necessary for the project. Exhibit B Janaury 14, 2021 | Page 4 Assumptions This scope of work and cost estimate assumes that: Our cost estimate includes the project kick-off meeting and up to one approval hearing.
